About Us
In 2018, the Parents Diversity Council was formed as a committee of the Bedford schools by former Superintendent Jon Sills. In 2019, we organized as a 501c3 and held our first educational event, focusing on race and equity issues. During COVID, we shifted online and hosted book clubs, speakers, and online meet-ups to keep social connections among students and families. Now, our board meetings remain online to make them more accessible to parents and caregivers, but our programs are in person, ranging from social outings for families, cultural events open to the community, and educational programs.
